Specialist Resource Provision
Lime Tree school has a Specialist Resource Provision for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders. The children in the provision belong to one of the mainstream classes. They receive additional support from specialist staff in the form of one to one support and small group activities. The provision children also have access to a Speech and Language Therapist and an Occupational Therapist. Learning for provision children is personalised to meet their individual needs whilst accessing mainstream education and social settings. The provision caters for 3 children per year group and the places are allocated by the Local Authority.
Each key stage has its own base, Einstein for Early years and Key Stage 1 and Grandin for Key Stage 2.

As set out in the Equality Act 2010, our Accessibility Policy sets out a plan for:-
increasing the extent to which disabled pupils can participate in the school's curriculum
improving the physical environment of the school for the purpose of increasing the extent to which disabled pupils are able to take advantage of education and benefits, facilities or services provided or offered by the school
improving the delivery to disabled pupils of information which is readily accessible to pupils who are not disabled.

Every local authority has a SEND Local Offer. The purpose of the local offer is to enable parents, carers, children and young people with special educational needs or disabilities to see clearly, from a single and regularly updated source, the services available to local families and how to access them. The offer covers services from birth to 25, across education, health and social care.
