Nelson Mandela was undeniably one of the most important figures of the 20th century, celebrated worldwide for his impact on human rights and social justice. His significance lies not only in his role as the first democratically elected President of South Africa but also in his commitment to dismantling apartheid, which oppressed the majority of the country's population.
